Apr 17, 2007 Arming the teachers was my thoughts as well. I gave thought to actually sending some teachers to be trained and then deputized as undercover security personnel. Every time a gun rage attack takes place, it usually takes place where the victims are disarmed and defenseless.
The U.S. is already being criticized for their existing gun laws by other nations, including remarks from Australia's prime minister. Other countries, which has foreign exchange students in this country, has also threw in their two cents worth about the safety of their young people.
When guns are not allowed in certain areas, the law abiding public complies. I have went to gun shows and had my piece disabled by the thick nylon lock ties but I always carry a small set of side cutters to put the piece in action if needed.
We have carry laws for a reason, which the media fails to mention. People will one day wake up to the reality that they are responsible for their own safety and fate, and police only arrive after the fact. Another of many wake up calls and they still don't get it. I read a story from a man in regards to most Americans hitting the snooze alarm and skirting the reality checks.
How many times have we heard of people hiding in their offices while gunmen roamed from office to office in search of defenseless victims ? We heard about people hiding under tables at the Luby's Cafeteria massacre while a lone gunman roamed from one victim to the next. The people from Texas responded with concealed and carry laws for the law abiding public. New bills were introduced as far as Georgia, referred to as "The Luby Law", which gives the permit holder the right to carry in a food service type establishment which also serves poured drinks. My wake up call came from hearing the stories of those survivors of the Luby's Massacre; from that day on, I have carried.
So far all I've heard in regards to how this tragic event could have been prevented was if it could have been prevented by means other than force. Many are beginning to blame the so called gun culture in our country, which is ludicrous, while others are trying to understand what drives a young person to such extremes.
These off tilted whacks are walking among us, everyday, everywhere, and are subject to lash out their rage on innocent self defenseless victims at no certain given time or place. With this latest attack, it is now said to be the worse in U.S. history, the stereotyping continues to baffle those who would like to pin it on one of those from the so called gun culture.

....What's wrong with our laws ?
Those laws are not logically or reasonably being enforced; This is living proof.

.....This tragedy is more proof that we need security on our school campuses, if they are to remain Gun Free Zones......Violent Killers don't Abide by any Laws.
