If The Morrow's Police Department was doing such a good job, why did they need Victor Hill ?

If it was up to Morrow, We would still have Victor Hill as our Sheriff in this county.

"1. Sheriff Victor Hill presented a Plaque to Mayor Millirons giving him the title of Honorary Lt. Colonel."

During the Council Meeting on March 13, 2007, Clayton County Sheriff Victor Hill designated Mayor Millirons as Honorary Lt. Colonel. Sheriff Hill presented the Mayor with a plaque to signify the honor and expressed great appreciation to the Mayor and Council for their support of Sheriff Hill’s objectives. The Sheriff explained that his goal was to clean up the County and restore it to a respectable community. He also commended Chief Jeff Baker for stepping forward to help create a joint Vice Unit and City Manager John Lampl for his support of the initiative. The Vice Unit has already accomplished great things including shutting down 14 prostitution houses, pulling the business licenses of pornography houses, and shutting down illegal gambling houses. Sheriff Hill went on to explain that Mayor Millirons was in his own way a policeman, just as tough.

The March 16 Morrow special election is to fill the unexpired term of former City Councilman Charles Sorrow. Sorrow resigned from office in January due to health concerns. His term is set to expire in November, 2011. Morrow Downtown Development Authority Executive Director John Lampl, former city Property Manager Jeanell Bridges, and retiree James “Jim” Duckworth qualified for the special election.
