Maybe your IP doesn't like their name. :-) .....It's probably my IE browser; I tried to switch over to Mozella, but the Mozella Browser won't allow me to log in on this forum. ....Choosing a first Home Defense Weapon requires some preparation, on the part of the owner. Some of these Key words can be found in Safety, Securing the firearm but making it accessible, Range Practice, Maintenance, and Knowing about our Self Protection Laws. ......Knowing about the proper operation of a firearm, is more than just shooting or loading (charging) the firearm. Many people has killed others by loading a firearm, because of their lack of knowledge. Every time an idiot makes a mistake with a firearm, the more knowledgeable gun owners are the ones to be blamed. I grow tired and frustration every time, that I hear one of our Government Officials protest our Lawful Rights to Bear Arms because of our lack of training; For myself, this is degrading. ....Over the years, I have used various revolvers and semi-auto pistols, in various calibers. I began with the .357 magnum revolver and the .45 acp semi-auto pistols. In 1998, I settled on the Sig Sauer P-239, .40 S&W, with the interchangeable 357 sig barrel. The P-239 has a 3 1/2" inch barrel, with a flat recoil spring. I will post more about this pistol, and the reasoning behind me making this pistol my choice.

Training is key. Dropping a gun into the sock drawer might keep it polished, but you won't know how to use it when it is needed. It is not like getting out a flashlight.

....The Sig Sauer P-239 has a flat black finished, with a alloy aluminum frame, and a stainless steel slide; Which requires very care. I just stuff into a shoe, place a baseball cap over it, and let it be. ...The alloy aluminum frames, on the SIGS, has a Forged Steel Locking Insert that assists in absorbing the recoil, and adds strength to the frame.
