'Cross-over' voting OK, but not in runoffswww.news-daily.com/news/2010/jul/14/cross-over-voting-ok-but-not-in-runoffs/ 'Cross-over' voting OK, but not in runoffs
....I have to disagree with this Headline.
....In the Democrat Primaries of 2008, I registered to vote on the Democrat ticket. When the General Election arrived, I had the option of voting for any candidate upon my choosing, Democrat or Republican.
....Many calls this cross over voting, but in Clayton County, how many Republicans do we have elected into our county offices ?
....If you want your vote to count in Clayton County, vote democrat in the county democrat primaries, and when the General Election arrives, you can vote for any candidate from either political party.
....Most County Officials are elected into office, during the county democrat primary runoffs; This is a fact. Save your Republican Vote for the General Election. ....In the Democrat Primaries of 2008, I crossed over to vote for Kem Kimbrough to get Victor out of the way, but when the General Election came around, I voted for the Republican Candidate Jack Rainwater...This is how it works.

...Cross Over voting is allowed, in The General Elections. Living in a democrat controlled county, How can a Republican vote for a democrat candidate, in the democrat run offs, unless they register as a democrat to do so ? ....In all elections, we should have the absolute right to vote; However, there are some within our county that wants to deprive us these rights, this means that if we don't vote & support certain political party candidates in our county we cannot vote in the run off elections. ....Many have made allegations that the elections in this county has been tarnish by the Cross Over Voters......I challenge this stupidity. ......In 2008, many of our elected officials was elected in the democrat run off primaries, when only less than 21 % percent of the registered voters in Clayton County bothered to show up at the polls. If placing the blame on the Cross Over Voters is an excuse, then someone hasn't been telling the truth. ....I lend my support to Candidates which best serves our interest, according to our U.S. Constitution and The Constitution of Georgia. If a Candidate is member of any organization that opposes our law rights, I won't vote for this candidate. Finding such untarnished candidates, within Clayton County, is slim to none. ....This Freedom to Vote, should not be restricted to a single political party in our county !! The Dixiecrats

....Some of these Democrats, in Clayton County, are fussing about "Cross Over Voters" in our county. ......Riddle Me with this Puzzle : .....If a Voter registers has a Democrat, in the Democrat Primaries of the County Elections, How can this be called "Cross Over Voting" , when there are few Republicans running for office in this county ? .....It seems to me that The Democrats of Clayton County wants to have a single party Government in our county. Welcome To The Democrat Plantation Of Clayton County, Ga.
