19and41; I purchased my S&W 586 In '82 from a Gun Dealer in Lakewood, and because the Shop was located in The City Limits of Atlanta, Which meant I was to had go downtown to the Fulton Sheriffs Office to be finger printed and undergo a background check.
This was all before the Brady Bill and the Instant Background Check. It so happens, the owners had another location in Dekalb County, and I simply pick up the gun there ;D.
What has happened in Atlanta, is happening to Clayton County.
This all started with Maynard Jackson as The Mayor of Atlanta.

I was tracking Self Defense Legislation, when I ran into an odd fact that almost every Black Politician, Clergyman, Legislator, Civic Leader, and Civil Rights Activist opposed most legislation aimed toward self defense rights, while supporting that legislation which opposes the current laws we have on self defense rights; That's when I stumbled upon the Rev. Jesse Lee Peterson. One thing I already know is, Hate and Firearms do not go well together in our Society. Could this be why most Black Leaders and many members of the Democrat Party are against the Right to have Weapons for Self Defense ? In Other Words; This is I look way the Democrats look at it; Don't Teach a Society of People Hate, In Order To Secure Their Vote, and Then Deny Them the Right to Bear Arms.
