FOREST PARK, Ga. -

Forest Park Police have released a sketch of the man they believe attacked an elderly florist so badly she was left unconscious and hospitalized.

Pat White, 73, was brutally beaten as well as robbed and investigators say when she tried to give the man what he wanted he beat her unconscious.

The suspect was described as a black male in his 20s, about 5 feet 6 inches to 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighing 140 to 160 pounds. He was wearing a dark jacket with horizontal white stripes, dark pants and a black toboggan or skull cap, said Matson.

FOREST PARK — Pat White has spent more than half her life bringing joy and smiles to residents of Forest Park through flowers.

...White, 73, was still in an Atlanta hospital Wednesday afternoon as doctors try to repair extensive fractures to her face, said Forest Park police Lt. James Delk. Delk said White opened the shop about 9 a.m. and was confronted an hour later by a slender black male in his early 20s armed with a knife. Delk said the man asked for money and White handed over the contents of the drawer — $40.
