I have been on many Clayton County Forums and not yet have I seen anyone question our Elected Officials on their misconduct in how their represent our interest ! Not Once !!

....By The Way; Prior to the passage of SB 396; A person did not have any rights to protect himself or herself in their own home, unless they could prove that their lives was in danger. In other words, Thieves could enter your home and take anything that they wanted and the only thing you could do in call 911, run, or hide under the bed.

....We can Thank the rest of Our State Legislators for doing the job that our own Legislators wouldn't support !

Time line for Gail Buckner :

Gun Issues

"2004 Based on lifetime voting records on gun issues and the results of a questionnaire sent to all state legislative candidates in 2004, the National Rifle Association Political Victory Fund assigned Senator Buckner a grade of A+"

http://www.votesmart.org/issue_rating_category.php?can_id=7854

In 2006, Gail Buckner voted against our rights to "Stand Our Ground" in Self Defense : SB 396

A BILL to be entitled an Act to amend Article 2 of Chapter 3 of Title 16 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating to justification and ...excuse as a defense to certain crimes, so as to provide that a person who is attacked has no duty to retreat; to provide that such person has a right to meet force with force, including deadly force; to provide for an immunity from prosecution; to repeal conflicting laws; and for other purposes.

...Gail Buckner Voted NAY ( NO )

Quote:"Oscar, you didn't mention that I believe in a person's right to bear arms and protect themselfs. You also didn't mention the bills that I voted for to improve the ability to bear arms and you didn't mention that I have always received a high rating from the NRA. You and all citizens are always welcome to call me to hear why I vote for or against any bill"

Gail; Whats wrong with NOW ?

....It's not about The Stand Your Ground Law, it is about the Clayton County State Legislators that opposed and failed to support our right to defend ourselves, even in our own homes, without the fear of being prosecuted for our actions.

The only good thing about this that they are the tail of the dog in this matter, and the only thing they can impede are the handful of votes they control. Their fatuous agenda is constantly overruled by the majority. Never forget they rule an island.

....Some times I find it necessary to bring attention to this on the many people that I visit in Clayton County, Ga.

.....This one example of the pess poor representation that we have in this county and it's also just one the tools that use to confront those that voted against this piece of State Legislation.

....This is The Holy Grail of Misrepresentation in Clayton County, Ga.

...One of Our State Representatives, from Clayton County, that Voted NAY ( No ) on this Self Protection Bill told me this :

Quote:
I voted against SB 396 because it is already legal for persons to protect themselves. Police officers asked me to vote against this bill because they were concerned that bill went too far and would put their lives in danger.

"because it is already legal for persons to protect themselves."

.....No is was not !!!!!!

......Since this Bill became State Law, in 2006, has any Police Officers been Killed in The Clayton County Police Department or The Clayton County Sheriff's Department by law abiding citizens ?

You have just described most of the candidates in this county. And the zombies stagger unerringly to them.
